Doggie Cupcake #3

So here it is!  The final doggie cupcake recipe.  But, don’t worry.  I still have quite a few photos (and at least a few videos) to share!!

RECIPE

Apple Cheese Doggie Cupcakes (recipe from jenkakio)

Ingredients:

(Makes about 15 cupcakes)

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1/2 cup of water

1 large apple–cored and minced (or two small ones)

1 and 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour

1/4 cup of oatmeal

2 teaspoons of baking powder

1/4 cup vegetable oil (Don’t use any other oil nor substitute if for butter)

2 tablespoon of Agave (or honey)

2 eggs

1 cup of grated cheese (I used Parmesan, but whatever your dog’s favorite cheese is)

Optional: your dog’s favorite doggie treats.  We can use them as decoration.

Frosting:

18oz low or fat-free cream cheese

2 tablespoons of plain yogurt

2 tablespoons of agave (or honey)

Dose of cuteness…

Here’s your dose of cuteness for today!  This is a video of my adopted dog, Aleshanee (Ali for short).  She was my taste tester for all the doggie cupcakes.  This is her enjoying the Peanut Butter Banana Cupcakes featured yesterday from Cooking with Charlie.  (You’ll have to forgive my laughing…)

She’s so good!  She even cleans up after herself!!

Doggie Cupcake #1

Carrot and Peanut Butter don’t sound like a terrible combo, even for humans, right?  But in a cupcake….?  Maybe not so much.  But, trust me, your dog will not be unhappy with this choice!  Carrot Peanut Butter Doggy Cupcakes (recipe below from The Icing on the Cake).  And, if you want to, go ahead and try ’em yourself.  There’s nothing in any of the cupcakes I made that isn’t 100% natural – which is why they’re okay for our animal friends too!

1 cup white flour
1 top baking soda
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup honey
1 egg

non-fat cream cheese
