Day 332 – Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes

28 Jun

Some days just require something sweet.  And maybe a little tart.  Not to mention, who doesn’t love orange cream desserts?  So, these Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes (recipe below from Kara’s Party Ideas) were a must-try.

The cupcakes are moist and a little sticky. They have a sweet, slightly tart citrus flavor.

The frosting is smooth and creamy. Almost a little on the soft side. The zest adds beautiful flecks of orange color. It has a very sweet, slightly tart flavor.

Together the orange flavor makes a really strong appearance! It’s still very sweet and sugary, but it also has a very distinct tartness to it. A little bite. The aftertaste sticks around for a bit. Like an orange tends to do.
